I help brands and editorial companies tell stories with compelling content that delivers value, engages readers and turns them into repeat visitors.
Clients appreciate that I use my skills as a trained journalist, writer, editor, content marketing writer, and digital content strategist with over 15 years’ experience to make their jobs easier and deliver content that resonates with their audiences.
My experience as a senior staff editor for print magazines and websites in New York City for over 10 years provided me with a background I rely on to generate innovative ideas for high-caliber projects and assignments. Discover the brands I work with and read client feedback on my CLIENTS page.
I’ve written over thousands of articles that cover a variety of topics, most based in the health, wellness and lifestyle space. Topics covered range from cancer prevention to counterterrorism initiatives, skin care advice, how to sleep better, and personal finance tips, to name a few. Peruse my writing samples here and reach out if there’s a topic you’re curious about.
Content Marketing Writing
As a content marketing writer, I enjoy creating branded content articles and addressing content marketing editorial needs, from ideation to execution, while building a relationship between the reader and the brand.
I received SEO writing training during staff editor jobs at Prevention and Muscle & Fitness magazines. I combine that knowledge and the latest SEO data findings to build new audiences for clients based on SEO content that ranks high on Google.
Editing (Print & Digital)
With a background as a trained digital editor and magazine editor since 2006, I enjoy working on a variety of editing projects. From acting as a freelance Editor-in-Chief for five consumer print magazines to top-editing freelancers for a SaaS company, I feel comfortable editing in consumer publishing and content marketing spaces. I also consult on editorial strategy.
I have acted as a ghostwriter for a client’s New York Times’ opinion submission, book projects, as well as ghostwriting blog content for executives on sites like Inc.com.
I help clients take a concept and turn it into an editorial platform, whether that’s launching a branded content site, consulting on wireframes and content ideation for startups and apps, or, writing multi-page “health conditions” workbooks for health insurance companies. I enjoy working with teams to see their ideas come to fruition and ensure their initial goals and audience are being addressed.
I am the co-author of three books for the FDNY Foundation. I also top-edit book proposals and chapters for clients and work on ghostwriting book projects.
I write whitepapers, act as a copywriter, pen product descriptions, edit and revise company website copy and like learning about new ways to address clients’ content and editorial needs.

Me when I get to the library to work. "Great! Change of scenery and silence...NOW I can focus and work on freelance writing assignments."
Also me: "Ooooh. Look at all those books on the Best of 2022 display."
If you're not willing to publish your writing, get rejected, receive firm feedback from editors, or go months without seeing any progress, no amount of "hacks" or "tips" about freelance writing can help you.
I totally missed this lovely study in Sept. that discovered dogs can smell when you're stressed. (Also, the participants had to count backward from 9,000 in units of 17!! I wouldn't have made it to 8,000.)
